타이틀곡 ‘In Bloom’은 빈티지한 감성과 트렌디함이 공존하는 드럼 앤드 베이스(Drum & Bass) 장르로, 청춘의 찬란함과 그 이면의 불안정함을 그려낸 앨범 ‘YOUTH IN THE SHADE’의 정체성을 고스란히 담아낸 곡이다. 끝이 있기에 더욱 아름답고 의미 있는 첫걸음을 내딛는 ZEROBASEONE이 아직은 불완전하고 미숙하지만 ‘너’를 향해 달려가겠다는 의지를 표현했다. 세계적인 밴드 A-Ha의 ‘Take On Me’의 메인 리프를 오마주해 질주하듯 빠른 템포로 전개되는 후크로 청량하고 경쾌한 무드를 고조시켰고, 느리게 이어지는 멜로디와 보컬로 청춘 이면의 무게를 더했다.
